Developed as a contemporary interpretation of traditional reformers, the R8-Pro replicates key elements of Joseph Pilates’ original equipment, including carriage dimensions, footbar positioning, spring bar placement, and overall geometry. This ensures a familiar and authentic training experience while incorporating updated features for improved usability.
At the core of the reformer is its retro-inspired 8-wheel carriage system, engineered to deliver a smooth, quiet, and low-maintenance glide. The carriage provides controlled movement across approximately 97.5 cm of travel, supporting a wide range of exercises while accommodating different user sizes. The extra-wide carriage enhances comfort and stability during workouts, contributing to a consistent and balanced training experience.
The R8-Pro is equipped with a patent-pending Rapid Change spring bar, allowing for fast, single-action adjustments without removing springs. This system improves workflow efficiency, particularly during sessions requiring frequent resistance changes. The reformer comes standard with four springs in varying resistance levels and includes the option to add a fifth spring for expanded resistance capability.
Additional features include a Pro Rope adjustment system positioned within the shoulder rest frame for quick rope length changes, adjustable rope risers, and a multi-position footbar with several lockable settings, including a flat position. A three-position headrest and off-centre shoulder rests support user alignment and comfort during exercises.
