The “R8” designation refers to its retro-inspired 8-wheel carriage system, designed to replicate key elements of traditional Pilates reformers while incorporating updated materials and mechanisms. This system provides a smooth, quiet, and low-maintenance glide, allowing for controlled and consistent movement throughout exercises. The carriage dimensions and geometry are designed to closely align with classic reformer proportions, supporting proper technique and familiar movement patterns.
The reformer features a Rapid Change spring bar that allows for quick and efficient resistance adjustments without removing springs. This improves workflow during training sessions and makes it especially suitable for environments where frequent changes are required. The unit comes standard with four springs in varying resistance levels and includes the option to add a fifth spring for expanded resistance capability.
Adjustability is further enhanced with a multi-position footbar offering multiple lockable positions, including a flat setting, as well as a Pro Rope adjustment system that allows quick and precise rope length changes.
