The Cybex 600A Arc Trainer is an exercise machine that provides an intense and low-impact workout by combining elements of a climber, cross-trainer, and cross-country skier. In 2004 and 2005, the product won the “Best New Product” award for its unique design, user-controlled speed, and wide range of resistance.
The machine was developed by Cybex, a renowned fitness pioneer known for its research in physiology, biomechanics, and anatomy. The 600A features advanced biomechanics that transmit minimal stress to ankle, knee, and hip joints, while providing superior performance. The footplates move in a bilateral, reciprocal movement along an adjustable arc of motion, creating a smooth exercise experience.
The machine offers a resistance of 0 to 900 watts, giving it a range suitable for both beginners and athletes. At low resistance levels, it provides a lower work rate and relaxed feel, while at higher resistance settings, it delivers high-intensity training with greater muscle loads. The patented advanced stride technology creates a natural and comfortable motion that simulates walking and running, while being easy on your joints and burning calories.
The 600A features a dual-screen display that shows distance, calories, METs, strides/minute, heart rate, time, and incline. It also includes a heart rate monitor with contact and wireless capability (chest strap not included), a water bottle holder, magazine rack, and utility tray, and wheels on the front for easy mobility.
